The Tears & Tulle Movement

T&T CIRCLE INSTRUCTIONS

(Basically, you make or purchase a skirt, share it with your friends, and document your journey!)

  • Invite one or more women (or ANYONE who wants to participate) to join your T&T Circle!

  • Make or purchase a tulle skirt. (Note: This may just be the coolest “empowerment tulle” you've ever seen.) Name your group something FUN! We would love to hear about it on social media!

  • Decide how long each person will have the skirt. We recommend 1, 2, 4, or 6 week time slots.

  • Mail or give the skirt to the woman who will wear it first. You might want to consider pulling names from a hat.

  •  Each person in your circle will pair the skirt with something black. Anything black will do! This can be clothing, accessories, props, a backdrop, a black sand beach, an animal, etc.  The possibilities are endless, but some ideas are a shirt, sweater, sunglasses, tights, hat, headband, umbrella, mural, flowers, sand, your dog Fluffy, etc.

  • Each person will take a picture in your group’s skirt!

  • Each person is encouraged to share their Tears & Tulle story. This can be a personal story, poem, quote, etc. Anything that helps us understand your journey!

  • SHARE! SHARE! SHARE! Use the hashtag #tearsandtulle and tag us on social media using the account @tearsandtulle or upload to our Facebook Group, The Tears & Tulle Movement. Don't forget to state your tribe name and location when posting to social media. We would also love to see any behind the scenes photos too! You are welcome to share them with us at gina@thetearsandtullemovement.com.

  • Mail or give the skirt to the next woman in your circle!
